The WISE Conference 2024 Charity of Choice
The Woodlands, TX (January, 2024) — Each year, the WISE Conference planning committee chooses at least one local charity to acknowledge at the conference and give a portion of the proceeds. With the ongoing growth in the area, it is organizations like the WISE Conference that bring awareness and support to local nonprofits that continuously use the donation to make a difference.
WISE aims to bring attention to what this well-deserving charity does in the community, and is proud to donate a portion of our proceeds to the Charity of Choice. The WISE Conference is more than a women’s business conference – we believe in giving back to those who could use a helping hand, and we will continue to support our community.
WISE Charity of Choice 2024 – Cassidy Joined for Hope Foundation
Preventing Teen Suicide, One Community At A Time
After losing their beautiful 16-year-old daughter, Cassidy, to suicide in 2015, the Hess family created the Cassidy Joined for Hope Foundation to ensure that this tragedy does not befall any other family in their community. Cassidy Joined for Hope, Inc. is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit foundation focused on teen suicide prevention in schools and the community. We acknowledge that teen suicides are not isolated instances but rather the second leading cause of death for ages 10-24. No community or family is immune.
OUR MISSION
The mission of the Cassidy Joined for Hope Foundation is to prevent teen suicide. We are dedicated to providing resources, support, and education to schools and communities, aiming to save our teens.
OUR VISION
Suicide prevention requires a community-wide effort, starting with children and schools. By challenging stigma and breaking the silence, we initiate life-saving conversations. Our goal is to educate students, teachers, and parents about warning signs through mental health screening programs. The Cassidy Joined for Hope Foundation raises awareness through student-led ‘Joined for Hope’ Clubs, promoting hope, kindness, and open discussions about mental health. We extend awareness through speaking engagements and award scholarships to seniors passionate about Breaking the Silence on teen suicide.
About the WISE Conference
The WISE Conference is an annual conference, and a cooperative effort between Women On A Mission To Earn Commission (WOAMTEC) and Montgomery County Association of Business Women (MCABW).
WISE —Women Inspiring Supporting Empowering— caters to professionals with a desire to learn more about work-life balance and gather tools, tips and strategies to implement and streamline their businesses. WISE is committed to the empowerment of women through personal and professional development, and the Conference is scheduled for Wednesday September 25, 2024, 9 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
