KEYNOTE SPEAKER
Stacey Gautreau
If you knew what it took me to get here, would you still think I’m a big deal?
I grew up in a small rural community surrounded by a family of entrepreneurs. I hear stories of young people not wanting to get their driver’s license these days. That is wild to me! The day I turned 15 my dad took me to the DMV. There was no question I would have a car and make customer deliveries as soon as it was legal. As the oldest child and Miss Over Responsible, there were other assumptions of how my life would go.
Well, it didn’t quite go like I had pictured in my head. And despite many missteps in my personal relationships and career choices, I gained success. That is when I started looking at failures differently. And every time I share these embarrassing stories it seems to connect us in a weird way. So, let’s normalize some of this stuff for the ones coming behind us.
