Next, I would like to encourage business owners to create a plan and stick to that plan. We want the plan to cover good times, for example sales are booming, but sticking to a set salary, versus taking all the profits out; but also cover bad times, sales plummet and we can still make payroll and other expenses.

Finally I would encourage people to mature that plan into one that allows them to see any disruption as an opportunity for growth. With most major disruptions there are winners and there are losers, if we only focus on surviving, often we are able to do that only temporarily and later we fail. I encourage people to plan for disruptions so they can capitalize when growth opportunities present themselves.
